About the Intelligent Information Management Benchmark 2019

M-Files commissioned a survey of 1,500 office workers to understand various factors related to how organisations manage business information and the challenges they face in accessing and managing business information. The organisations ranged in size from small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to large organisations and came from a wide range of sectors. In addition, respondents came from nine countries and worked in different roles within their organisations.

The survey questions covered the following four areas:

  • General document management: End-user's overall experience around managing business documents
  • Mobile document management: access and manage business information from remote locations with mobile devices
  • Stores: Management of business information across multiple systems and silos
  • Artificial intelligence (AI): The perception and use of AI to contextualise business information
